Position Overview for Senior Consulting Engineer:

The Senior Consulting Engineer will leverage extensive technical expertise and certifications to shape technology architecture and deployment strategies. This role requires a deep understanding of both technical and business factors, enabling you to provide solutions that meet client needs. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor junior engineers, and take ownership of complex projects, all while maintaining clear communication with stakeholders.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business and Technical Understanding:
    • Analyze and understand business goals and non-technical factors that influence enterprise architecture and deployment.
    • Ensure that technical solutions align with overall business objectives.
  • Collaboration and Engagement:
    • Engage effectively with team members and stakeholders across disciplines to foster collaboration and knowledge sharing.
    • Build strong relationships within the team and with clients to enhance project outcomes.
  • Communication Skills:
    • Prepare and deliver presentations to clients, articulating technical concepts clearly and effectively.
    • Create comprehensive documentation that serves both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Mentorship:
    • Mentor and guide junior engineers, providing support and fostering their professional development.
    • Share best practices and insights to enhance the overall capabilities of the team.
  • Project Leadership:
    • Take ownership of projects, leading initiatives independently or in collaboration with team members.
    • Manage project timelines, deliverables, and client expectations to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Lab Environment Testing:
    • Quickly replicate relevant portions of technical issues in a lab environment for testing and validation.
    • Use lab findings to troubleshoot and develop effective solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Certifications:
    • Aruba ACCP, ACCX, or equivalent experience.
    • Palo Alto PCNSE, PCNSC or equivalent experience.
  • Experience:
    • 5-10 years of experience in IT infrastructure engineering, consulting, or a related field.
    • Proven success in delivering complex network solutions.
  • Skills:
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a client-focused approach.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills, capable of presenting complex information clearly.
    • Deep technical knowledge of and experience with Palo Alto NGFW and/or Aruba ClearPass.
  • Interpersonal Skills:
    • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
    • Demonstrated leadership qualities and a proactive approach to project management.
