Consulting Engineer – Hybrid Cloud

Position Overview for Consulting Engineer:

As a Consulting Engineer specializing in Hybrid Cloud solutions, you will play a key role in delivering comprehensive infrastructure solutions to our customers. In this role, you will translate business requirements into effective hybrid cloud architectures while working independently and collaboratively. Your expertise will guide clients through the planning, design, configuration, and diagnosis of virtualization platforms, storage systems, backup solutions, and disaster recovery implementations.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Independent Project Delivery:
    • Manage and execute hybrid cloud delivery projects independently, seeking assistance and guidance when needed to ensure success.
    • Lead end-to-end implementation of virtualization, storage, and data protection solutions.
  • Technical Leadership:
    • Provide technical expertise and leadership on customer projects involving VMware vSphere, Nutanix HCI, and/or Microsoft Hyper-V environments.
    • Implement storage solutions using Pure Storage, Dell/EMC, and HPE platforms with fibre channel networking.
    • Provide backup and disaster recovery solutions utilizing Veeam, Zerto, and Dell Data Protection technologies.
    • Customer Collaboration:
      • Work closely with clients to plan, design, configure, and diagnose hybrid cloud technologies including virtualization platforms, storage area networks, and backup systems.
      • Conduct technical assessments and provide recommendations for infrastructure optimization.
      • Foster strong relationships and trust through expert technical guidance.
    • Professional Development:
      • Pursue certifications in virtualization (VMware VCP/VCAP, Nutanix NCP), storage (Pure Storage, Dell/EMC, HPE), and data protection (Veeam VMCE, Zerto ZCA) technologies.
      • Stay current with hybrid cloud trends and emerging technologies.

    Qualifications:

    • Certifications:
      • Professional-level certifications such as VMware VCP, Microsoft Hyper-V certifications, or equivalent.
      • Storage vendor certifications (Pure Storage, Dell/EMC, HPE) preferred.
      • Backup and DR certifications (Veeam VMCE, Zerto ZCA) a plus.
    • Experience:
      • 3-5 years of experience in hybrid cloud infrastructure engineering, virtualization consulting, or related field.
      • Hands-on experience with VMware vSphere, Nutanix AHV/AOS, and/or Microsoft Hyper-V platforms.
      • Proven experience with enterprise storage platforms including Pure Storage FlashArray/FlashBlade, Dell/EMC PowerStore/Unity/VMAX, and/or HPE 3PAR/Nimble/Primera.
      • Experience with fibre channel SAN design, implementation, and troubleshooting.
      • Demonstrated expertise in backup and disaster recovery solutions using Veeam Backup & Replication, Zerto Virtual Replication, and Dell Data Protection Suite.
    • Technical Skills:
      • Strong understanding of hybrid cloud architectures and integration patterns.
      • Proficiency in storage protocols (FC, iSCSI, NFS, SMB) and networking fundamentals.
      • Experience with disaster recovery planning, testing, and implementation.
      • Knowledge of automation and orchestration tools for infrastructure deployment.
